JDMS Android OS App

Hey Wildcats.
In this article, I will talk about the new JDMS Android application that should be released late 2013 or early 2014.

JDMS first started off as a plain, free-modeled place from it's development in 2011 to the late 2012. Since we improved, we gathered many suggestions from our members; cheerleading, systems, and one of my favorite, application development. There's more on this.

So anyway, I will be developing a JDMS app for Android users only. Why not iOS? I'll talk about that in an FAQ.

I've only got a few ideas for the app, which are:
  • Blog
  • Staff List
  • Meeting Events
  • JDMS Widget for home screen.
I would like to hear more of your suggestions on the JDMS or ECHS wall.

Here's the FAQ or QUMA (Questions you might ask). I made QUMA up lol. or is it real???

Why do you choose Android instead of iOS?
I personally think Android is more convenient and customizable than iOS, because in iOS, you can't add widgets, remove app shortcuts, and you always have to plug in your device to sync downloaded music from the internet to your phone. In Android, you can just download the songs without even plugging in your device. So Android has more advantages that iOS. But as a suggestion, do NOT bother to get an iPhone 5. Just get an iPod or an iPad... I'm not saying that anyone with an iDevice is rather just a bum.

Will there be an iOS app?
Hopefully there will. One of our administrators at JDMS know how to work with a Mac application that can allow to create an iOS app.

Is there a cost to the JDMS app?
No. Never will be, unless it uses 3rd party plug-ins. I will try not to use 3rd party plug-ins. I didn't think of the idea just for money.

Why don't you make the iOS app?
I can't because Apple's program to make apps "xcode" is for Macs only. I have Windows 8 and 7 so I can use Android SDK. Thank you Google. :)

What will the JDMS widget look like?
I love them. lol. It will have buttons like "Staff" "Applications" like tabs that you need on a website.

Anyway I have planned some code names. Code names will be updated every 2 per month. Here's what I think:
  • 1st dev process: CoolWizzi
  • 2nd dev process: MizziWizzi
  • 3rd dev process: HotDiggityDoggie
  • 4th dev process: WizziYouLightUpMyWorldLikeNobodyElse
  • 5th dev process: WIZZI-CHAN
  • 6th dev process: OPPA WIZZI STYLE
  • 7th dev process: HeyIJustMetYouAndIAmWizzi
  • 8th dev process: BOI
I plan more codenames. Anyway, I'll notify you about how the development is going.

Thanks.
